BudaMunk born and raised Shinjuku, Tokyo. At the age of 16 he moved to LA where he lernt his trade as a DJ and Beat maker.

In 2004 , BM met MC Joe Styles (Delicious Vinyl) and the OYG (Down North Camp), and the three started working as Keentokers. Which soon became a part of the crew called ‘Soul Jugglerz’ who became influential in the LA underground scene. BudaMunk soon became known individually after becoming the first Japanese DJ to win the LA Beat Battle.

After returning home in 2006, Budamunk signed to the influential Tokyo based record label Jazzy Sport. The mid 00’s was satirated with a lot of great DJ’s and Beat makers, despite this it didn’t take long for Budamunk to establish himself in his home city. Releasing on JS as well as Dogear Records, producing tracks for 5lack(Slack) and Issugi later becoming ‘Sick Team’ with both MC’s.

In 2011 after the shock success of the debut Sick Team album, BudaMunk announced a new project ‘Green Butter’ with Mabanua, founder of promotion company CM. And in 2014 and 2015 released his first two solo albums with long established USA Hip Hop Label Delicious Vinyl(Nu-Mark, The Brand New Heavies, the Pharcyde). The second of these records ‘The Corner’ received great reception from the online Hip Hop community worldwide…
